Pick Your First AI Chatbot
You don't need five AI apps — just one you'll actually use. A plain guide to choosing between Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and starting today.
You don't need five of these. You need one you'll actually use. Here's how to pick it without wasting your afternoon.
Honestly? The big ones are pretty similar. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini — any of them will help you write faster and figure things out. The best one is just the one you keep opening. So don't stress it. Grab one, use it a week, switch if it bugs you.
Quick version of who's good at what:
- Claude is the one I reach for when I'm writing — emails, messages, anything that needs the right tone. It's also the best with Arabic.
- ChatGPT is the jack-of-all-trades. Talks, makes images, does a bit of everything. Good if you want one app for all of it.
- Gemini is strong for looking things up, and it's already inside Gmail and your Android phone.
- Perplexity gives you answers with the links to back them up. Use it when you need to trust what it says.
Write in Arabic a lot? Claude and ChatGPT both handle it well. If Arabic's the main thing you care about — official letters, formal writing — start with Claude. Try it right now: paste a paragraph and tell it "rewrite this in formal Arabic." You'll see what I mean in about a minute.
Getting started takes two minutes and costs nothing. Go to claude.ai or chatgpt.com, sign up, done. No card.
Then don't test it with some trick question. Ask it something real from your day:
- "Write a polite message asking this customer to pay their late invoice."
- "This letter from the insurance company — what does it actually mean?"
The first time it saves you 20 minutes, you'll get it.
One thing matters more than which app you pick: keep it on your home screen, right next to WhatsApp. The people getting the most out of this aren't smarter than you. They just open it first, before spending half an hour writing an email by hand.
Don't pay yet. The free version is plenty to start. Once you're using it every day and hitting limits, then look at the $20 plan. Not before.
So: pick one. Claude if you write a lot, especially in Arabic. ChatGPT if you want one app that does everything. Put it on your home screen. Ask it one real question today. That's the whole thing.
And if you'd rather have this built around your actual business — not just a chatbot, but something that knows your files, your customers, your work — that's what I do. Let's talk.
